Ivy Sage
American Staffordshire Terrier
Ivy Sage is a beautiful, 45lb, 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I rescued her about a year and a half ago, hoping to give her a better lifeāand in many ways, weāve made beautiful progress together. Sheās smart, sweet, full of energy, and knows basic commands like āsit,ā ālay down,ā and āpaw.ā She loves praise, belly rubs, and learning new thingsāespecially when treats are involved. But Ivy has also come with emotional wounds and behavioral challenges that I wasnāt fully prepared for. Sheās reactive toward other dogs, and despite every effort, she hasnāt been able to get along with the dog Iāve had for years. Itās caused stress in our home, and it breaks my heart that I havenāt been able to give her the peace, consistency, and calm she truly needs to heal and thrive. Sheās incredibly loving but needs a very specific kind of home: one where sheās the only pet, with someone who has experience working with reactive dogs, who understands her past doesnāt define her future, and who can offer her the kind of attention and structure sheās been missing. This decision has taken a toll on me emotionally. I didnāt rescue Ivy just to give up on herāIām making this choice because I love her, and because I know she deserves more than I can give right now. Sheās not a bad dogāsheās just a misunderstood one who needs the right match to help her continue growing into the amazing companion I know she can be. If you or someone you trust can offer Ivy a safe, stable, and one-dog home where sheāll be loved, supported, and truly seenāplease reach out. Sheās been through a lot, but she still believes in people. I want her next chapter to be the one where she finally gets to feel peace, safety, and unconditional love. Please help me find Ivy the forever home sheās been waiting for.
