Ivy Sage is a beautiful, 45lb, 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I rescued her about a year and a half ago, hoping to give her a better life—and in many ways, we’ve made beautiful progress together. She’s smart, sweet, full of energy, and knows basic commands like “sit,” “lay down,” and “paw.” She loves praise, belly rubs, and learning new things—especially when treats are involved. But Ivy has also come with emotional wounds and behavioral challenges that I wasn’t fully prepared for. She’s reactive toward other dogs, and despite every effort, she hasn’t been able to get along with the dog I’ve had for years. It’s caused stress in our home, and it breaks my heart that I haven’t been able to give her the peace, consistency, and calm she truly needs to heal and thrive. She’s incredibly loving but needs a very specific kind of home: one where she’s the only pet, with someone who has experience working with reactive dogs, who understands her past doesn’t define her future, and who can offer her the kind of attention and structure she’s been missing. This decision has taken a toll on me emotionally. I didn’t rescue Ivy just to give up on her—I’m making this choice because I love her, and because I know she deserves more than I can give right now. She’s not a bad dog—she’s just a misunderstood one who needs the right match to help her continue growing into the amazing companion I know she can be. 🐾✨ Hi, I’m your future best friend! ✨🐾 I may have had a ruff start roaming the streets all alone, thirsty and tired… but I never lost my big heart or my happy wag! 💕 I love playing fetch (I’ll even bring the ball back, promise 😉), and my favorite things in the whole wide world are cuddles, belly rubs, and being told I’m a good girl (because I am!). She calm and quiet but loves to play with other dogs. She good a not using the bathroom in the house. And likes to play around and sleep. She good at eating and doesn’t get into trouble. If also good at being told No. and to come here.

Chewie is super sweet and loves to play. He’s great around kids and loves to be dressed. Easy with showers as well. He’s having some medical issues and hoping someone can care for him where I cannot.
