Dr. Rasim V P is a small animal veterinarian based in Malappuram, Kerala, India. He qualified from Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in 2017 and has practised companion animal medicine since.

He cofounded Riverdale Pet Hospital in Ponnani in 2019, where he is Senior Consultant, and also consults at Dokvet Pet Clinic in Kottakkal. His clinical work covers general medicine, diagnostics, basic ultrasonography, and routine soft tissue surgery. Before moving into private practice he worked as an odd-hour veterinary surgeon with the Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Kerala, handling emergency and critical cases outside standard clinic hours.

He holds postgraduate diplomas in the therapeutic management of infectious diseases of pet animals and pet birds (2021) and in agricultural extension management (2022). His continuing education includes dedicated programmes in canine reproductive management and artificial insemination, run by Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University and the Kerala State Veterinary Council. He has also trained in canine cardiology, anaesthesia, and diagnostic ultrasonography.

Dr. Rasim serves as Joint Secretary of the Small Animal Veterinary Association Kerala and sits on the executive committee of the Federation of Small Animal Practitioners Associations of India. He has held district and state office with the Indian Veterinary Association in Kerala and is an editorial board member of the Journal of the Indian Veterinary Association. In 2026 the World Small Animal Veterinary Association selected him as one of 25 Future Association Leaders worldwide.
