Chief
Labrador Retriever
Meet chief. To us he's much more than a dog - He's the heart of the family. he is the kind of Lab that everyone hopes for: Incredibly loyal, gentle, eager to please, and happiest when he's with his people. During duck season chief transforms into an exceptional retriever with an Incredible natural drive and instinct. His father was a phenomenal duck dog and chief has certainly inherited those genetics. whether he's marking multiple birds, making long retrieves through heavy current, or (at least most of the time) waiting patiently in the blind, he works with enthusiasm and intelligence. We're still not sure if he enjoys retrieving ducks more or the cheeseburger he earns afterward. At home, he is the definition of the family dog. He's endlessly patient with our baby gentle with our cats and has never met a stranger. He didn't want to be friend. His calm, affectionate temperament is one of our favorite things about him. He's equally content spending a day out in the marsh as he is curling up at our feet in the living room chief has the rare ability to be both an accomplished working dog and a lovely family companion. we honestly couldn't imagine our family without him. He has given us countless memories in the dock line, endless giggles at home and more unconditional love than we ever thought possible around our house. It's become a running joke that my goal might love chief even more than our daughter... Well, at least we hope that's a joke. If chief passes anything onto his puppies, we hope it's his incredibly sweetheart steady temperament, natural, retrieving ability, strong drive, extreme athletic ability, and the waiver of desire to be with his dad and family. he's truly a once in a lifetime dog and we hope others can experience a pup like him.
