Smokey - Male Young German Shepherd for Adoption in Los Angeles County, CA

I am looking to rehome my 5-year-old female German Shepherd (turns 6 in April). This decision wasn’t easy, but due to me furthering my college education and entering a medical program, I no longer have the time she deserves. She is not spayed, healthy, and fully potty trained. She knows basic commands including sit, stay, shake, and lay down. She has a medium energy level—very active when outside, but calm indoors if she has a place to relax. She is great with kids but does not do well with other dogs or cats, so she needs to be the only pet. She is protective and loyal, will bark at strangers in the yard, and jumps very high when excited, so a secure yard and continued training are important. She is not aggressive and has no medical issues. She gets nervous during baths but will still allow you to bathe her with patience. I’m hoping to find her a loving home with yard space, secure fencing, and no other pets, with someone who understands the breed and can give her the time and care she deserves. I lived in a house and became homeless. For 4 months. I had someone look after him as I got back on my feet now im in an apartment. I feel really bad because im at work and dont have time to properly train him. He's in a kennel 8-9 hours a day and I can only walk him so much. He has accidents in his kennel amd I understand it's mainly my fault. He isn't a bad dog he gets a long with my other dog. He is quite a challenge to walk and pulls but he's getting better. I really dont want to give him up but my options are very limited. I want to keep him so bad but I know he'd be better off with someone that has more time for him.

He calm doesn't bark, in the middle of being potty trained is lovable,good with kids,doesnt bite.Just looking to rehome him because i dont have time with my schedule to take care of him.

He is a playful energetic boy but has the sweetest heart he would thrive in a home with another dog as he doesn’t do well alone and so he has someone to play with all day . He need lots of chew toys and exercise! because he will chew If he is bored and lonely . He generally is the most gentle dog I have ever met with the biggest goofiest personality. He is kid friendly and will play with my 2 year old all day and definitely dog friendly ! However he is Not cat friendly ! He will make someone a very happy person a bestfriend for life
