Oliver is a large mix of medium and big dogs: Bernese Mountain Dog, Bluetick Coonhound, Staffordshire Terrier, Border Collie and Golden Doodle. He really shows the best traits from each breed with his Border Collie level of intelligence being his best quality. DISPOSITION / TEMPERAMENT: Calm, Confident, Relaxed, Friendly CHILDREN: Excellent with. Patient and gentle. CATS: Excellent with. He was raised with 3 cats. Knows to be cautious of and with them DOGS: Great with. Sometimes Oliver can be stiff towards other larger males and un-altered males. Confident, won't back down if being postured or bullied on which can be a positive or a negative depending on the situation and other dog. BITE INHIBITION: Excellent. Oliver is very aware of his bite control and sensitive to how much pressure he is placing in his bites. PREY DRIVE: Medium. Having a hunting breed and a herding breed in his genetic build I expected this. It's higher towards raccoons, squirrels and skunks but also I have started scent training him on deer, moose and rabbit. OVERALL: Oliver is a confident caring dog who can switch from playing fetch for hours one day to cuddling in bed all day the next. He is an intelligent, intuitive and sensitive boy.
