"Microchiped: Yes Desexed: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Source number: EE286033 Breed: mini poodle Sex: F Age: 1 Dog friendly: Y but a bit nervous, especially with older dogs. She takes time. She live with another miniature poodle and a miniature schnauzer and she loves all the small dogs in our family. Cat friendly: Y Kid friendly: Y especially small children. She loves them! Her adoption fee is $1500 Hello everyone, This gorgeous little girl is Josie. She’s a 14-month-old purebred miniature poodle. I work as an animal-assisted mentor in schools, and Josie was adopted with the hope that she would one day join me as a therapy dog. While she has so many wonderful qualities, it’s become clear that the demands of therapy work aren’t the right fit for her. Instead, Josie is best suited to a loving pet home where she can simply be her sweet self. This has been a heart wrenching decision. A little about Josie: She is absolutely lovely—affectionate, playful, and great with kids. She’s confident lives with a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. Josie gets along well with friendly small dogs (or those she can get to know slowly), and is also good with cats. She lives with a cat, a mini poodle and a mini schnauzer. She’s confident when at home and enjoys visitors. She already has a solid foundation in basic obedience and walks nicely on the lead. She adores her walks, toys, and any game you’re willing to play. What she needs: Although confident at home, Josie is shy around new people when she is out and about and needs time and patience to warm up. She’s nervous around unfamiliar dogs, especially larger ones, so continued socialisation and training will be important. An experienced, understanding owner who’s willing to work with her at her own pace would be ideal. Another friendly, small, confident dog at home would be great for her. With time, love, and without the pressure of having to be a working dog, I have no doubt Josie will continue to blossom. If you or someone you know think you might be the right match for Josie and would like to know more, please feel free to reach out. Please include information about your home, whether she will be indoors and outdoors, fencing, family, children, training plans, exercise plans, and anything else you feel is relevant. She will only go to the right home. Thank you for helping me find the perfect home for this special girl 💛"
