About Hootie
Meet Hootie—a resilient little pup with quite a journey. She was rescued at just a few weeks old and rehomed not once, but twice, before being heartbreakingly dumped. Thankfully, Jacksonville Humane picked her up and reached out to me. When I got there, it was clear she wasn’t in the best shape, but I knew she deserved a second chance. I brought her home, and now Hootie is safe, loved, and finally on the road to becoming the happy, healthy puppy she was always meant to be. With time, care, and lots of love, Hootie is making progress every day—and once she reaches a comfortable and stable state, she’ll be ready to find her forever home.

Luna
Labrador Retriever × Husky
Luna is a very sweet Lab-Husky mix with some American Bull Terrier thrown in. She is very loyal, affectionate, and a great guard dog. She can be skittish at first but once she opens up, she is a very energetic girl. She loves giving kisses to her loved ones, frozen Kongs with peanut butter, walks, running in the wind, belly rubs, lying next to you on the couch, and playing fetch with balls. She dislikes zucchini, sudden loud noises, and being home alone for extended periods of time.

Satsuki
Labrador Retriever × Pit Bull Terrier
My dog is an incredibly calm and relaxed companion. She rarely barks unless she’s been left alone for a while, and even then, it’s more out of loneliness than anything else. Most of the time, you’ll find her napping peacefully or lounging somewhere close by. She’s laid-back and loves to just chill in her favorite spots where she can keep an eye on me—but she’s not clingy. She’ll lay next to you or nearby, but she respects space and isn’t one to jump all over you. When it comes to chewing, she’s very well-behaved. She sticks to her toys and won’t chew on anything else, although she is definitely curious. She’ll often sniff or lick other objects, but never damages them. She absolutely loves being outdoors. As soon as she gets outside, her energy flips on—she runs around with excitement and loves exploring. It’s such a fun contrast to her calm indoor personality. You can always tell how she’s feeling by looking at her ears—they’re super expressive and let you know exactly what mood she’s in. She’s very friendly and playful with children, getting along great with my younger siblings. She also does well with cats and is friendly with my neighbor’s cat. As for other dogs, she used to live with her sister and they got along—but they’d also argue like siblings do—so I’m not totally sure how she is with new dogs. In the car, she’s an excellent passenger. We go a lot of places together, and she’s always in the backseat. She rides calmly and even enjoys sticking her head out the window, but she knows not to lean out too far. She also knows basic commands like “sit.” She’s house-trained and has a clear potty routine. She usually stands by the door when she needs to go out, and if she's about to go inside, she’ll start sniffing in circles. She prefers to go potty shortly after eating (within about two minutes), before getting in the car, and again right after car rides. As for food—yeah, I spoil her a bit. I give her a little extra love in that area, but she’s not a picky eater at all. Overall, she’s a sweet, mellow dog with bursts of playful energy and a heart full of love. She’s smart, respectful, and just the perfect mix of calm and fun.

She is great with kids she still being trained for on the leash she doesn’t like it she’s kennel trained. And loves to be outside she’s a sweet girl I work to much and it’s not fair she’s in a kennel all day when I’m at work. She kinda skiddish she’s always been like that since we got her.
