Temperament & Character: Bucky is incredibly intuitive and emotionally intelligent. He seems to have his own way of communicating—almost like a little human in a dog’s body. He’s deeply loyal and emotionally connected to his family, often showing up when someone is feeling down or needs support. He’s also highly social and gentle with other animals, from guinea pigs to bunnies, and even enjoys quietly watching the fish in his personal aquarium. He has a funny, expressive personality: he “talks back,” huffs when asked to do something like a teenager, and will even try to get the last word in. He tattles when things go wrong—especially if he’s involved—and sometimes tries to shift the blame in the most hilarious ways. Despite the mischief, he’s incredibly smart and capable, even able to assist someone in standing up, making him suitable for service dog tasks. Inside he also love to cuddle. It doesn’t matter if you’re on the couch, bed, floor, anywhere he loves to cuddle. He’s really good about not barking at people in the yard. He also love to go hiking with me. He’s really is just a very outdoorsy dog that also lives for a good nap. I’m hoping to let him have a litter under his belt and use the fee to neuter him unless other plans are made.

He’s DNA tested, vet-approved, and has an incredible mix of speed, loyalty, and calm energy. He’s fast—like, so fast he overshoots the ball when he fetches. Our purebred Golden Retriever won’t even try to race him anymore. He’s muscular, athletic, and built with serious drive, but still gentle and obedient at home. Max has a wiry coat and sheds a lot, just being honest. But his personality and genetics make up for it—he’s smart, protective, and affectionate. We’re offering stud service because we believe in the kind of dogs he can help create, and we want his legacy to continue with the right pairings.
