Stella
Pit Bull Terrier
She is a playful puppy with a lot of energy. I unfortunately did not have the time and resources to train her for anything other than potty training. I am hoping for someone to adopt her that is knowledgeable in training dogs and is able to do so. She is willing to learn, she just needs a lot of time and patience. She is not an aggressive dog, she just gets very excited when around people and kids. I have only had her around my other dog Maryjane who is a 6 year old pit bull, and they get along. Stella likes to roughhouse with her sometimes as a form of playing, and this can sometimes require intervention because she struggles with boundaries. Stella is primarily an indoor dog, so she is potty trained but she does counter surf and chew on items. I believe this is due to boredom and lack of boundary training and is something that can be worked on. I take her on walks and she does leash pull, but as she gets tired she eases down and it is not a huge struggle to walk her. She does listen when I tell her to “come here” on the leash and she will stay when I stop walking and tell her “wait”. I wanted to keep her and put more effort into training her, but I am going to have to move houses soon and the people living there do not want big dogs around. It really saddens me to let her go and I just want to make sure she is in good hands with people who truly love and care for dogs. She is a sweetheart and she is a playful and curious child at heart.
