About Stanley

Meet Stanley, our wonderful English Springer Spaniel, who will turn 2 on January 2nd. We brought him home at just 8 weeks old from a breeder near Newport, and he comes from a line of working spaniels. He has a docked tail, and we have the breeder's certificate to confirm this. Unfortunately, we've made the difficult decision to rehome Stanley. Recently, he has begun showing dominance traits toward our older Sprocker, who is 9. Despite our best efforts to correct this behavior, it has escalated, resulting in a laceration on his eye. We believe Stanley would thrive in a home as an only dog or with a female companion, where he won't feel the need to assert dominance. This has not been an easy choice, but it's essential for the well-being of both Stanley and our older dog, who doesn't deserve to be in a stressful situation. Stanley is fully trained and responds well, even walking to heel off-leash on command. He is incredibly intelligent and will make a perfect companion for the right family.
