About Oliver

Oliver is a very friendly dog and loves to play. Unfortunately we have 2 young kids that take up most of our time, time taken away from Oliver. While he is great with our kids, he needs a home without children, where he can be the primary focus. The Australian Shepherd in him requires a lot of exercise, whether it is running, hiking, or walking. An ideal setting for him would be a home with an outdoor space to run and play, a home close to open outdoor space or a farm to allow him to be active. He does have some behavioral issues, such as resource guarding when it comes to something he really enjoys, like a toy or a treat. He is a great watch dog, but he can be overly protective, more so with men that he is unsure about. Outside of those few things, he is a great companion and very loyal dog that loves your attention and would be great for someone looking for that. He had a full panel of labs done in June and is in great health.
