Why rehoming the pet

After a year and a half raising Maverick from a puppy, I unexpectedly fell pregnant. We spent months training maverick for the arrival of the baby and also did training with him on commands. He does quite well with commands, however, now that our baby is crawling, he is playing quite rough with her. We have spent quite some time trying to train him on how to be gentle with our daughter, but there have been a few too many close calls due to rough play. Maverick is not aggressive, however, he is very reactive and quite high energy, and we feel that is high needs could be met better than what we are currently able to provide him with. We have tried our very best but have come to the conclusion that we may not be the best fit for him, and want the absolute best for him, as he really deserves that. He is very loving and loves to give lots of cuddles.
