About Marceline

Marceline is a gentle sweet dog who unfortunately never got socialised as a puppy. Me and my housemate got her after he went through a breakup and his then gf basically abandoned her with us. All she really wants to do is cuddle up in the sofa with anyone that's around and is constantly trying to show affection. She loves playing fetch with any object you throw her and seems to have a grudge about anything made of fabric (toys wise, she has never broke any piece of clothing or random objects around the house, only her toys get destroyed haha) As mentioned above unfortunately Marcie was never properly socialised with others dogs and she's not only jumpy but also distrustful of them. When on walks we definitely have to keep her on her leash at all times. She will never lunge at other dogs but will definitely get defensive when approached which is honestly such a shame as her nature with humans is the complete opposite. I feel like she's thinks she's a human and adores meeting new people. If anything she's overly affectionate with strangers and would be a horrible guard dog 😂! The downside of this is that she has a hard time being by herself. She manages but definitely has anxiety when being alone. Last couple of years she has finally started sleeping fine by herself although she much prefers cuddling with someone. But if you wrap her in a thick blanket (burrito style) she will go to sleep like a baby. I honestly feel like she truly believes that her mission on this planet is to just cuddle and play (even thought playing is already slowing down, but she still definitely enjoys it and goes crazy for a ball). While she has been spoiled like a baby in every aspect I feel like she has earned every bit of it by how much love she gives back.
