About Luna
Luna has been with us for about six months. She was scared and skinny when she came to us. Luna has come a long way, but is still high energy and should be with an owner who has experience with dogs. Luna is a large dog. She lives with one other dog and two children. Why are we giving Luna up? It is not a decision that comes easy to us. We travel a lot and due to family situations, we cannot rely on family to look after her as was the case with past pets. She also does not do well with boarding because of her experiences being in a shelter previously.

Why rehoming the pet

I am from the UK and we travel back and forth a lot. Family here in America have been able to look after our dogs when we go away. We have always had two dogs. Due to a change in their circumstances, family cannot commit to it any longer. Our other dog is older and we would be able to make alternative arrangements with friends. Luna is lovable, but she is young and high energy. Therefore, it would be a lot to ask for someone to watch her for us. She has made many strides since we have had her. For example, we no longer crate her when we leave the house; she had, but no longer toilets in the house; she can walk relatively well and most impressively in terms of progress is that she will ignore other dogs. Luna is not the dog we got six months ago and we are very proud of her progress. Due to her being in a shelter, I would not feel comfortable boarding her for long periods of time. This is a very hard decision. My wife and I, however, feel that it is the best one for Luna.
