About Leefa: Leefa is a 3-year-and-8-month-old dog with a sensitive heart and a big personality. She can be a bit anxious around new people or dogs, often barking initially as she adjusts. When disciplined, Leefa is quite expressive, sometimes even crying. She’s an emotional dog who doesn’t hide her feelings; at times, her anxiety may even lead her to have accidents indoors. With careful introductions, Leefa’s true playful and energetic side shines. She loves her walks and runs and will become a loyal, fun companion once she feels comfortable. Her affectionate and faithful nature makes her a wonderful pet for someone who can give her the right environment and attention. What We’re Looking for in a New Home for Leefa: We’re hoping to find a home for Leefa where she’ll have more space and more opportunities to thrive than what we can currently provide. Our townhouse and busy work schedules mean that she often spends time alone, which has contributed to her anxious behavior, especially with visitors. For Leefa, we hope to find someone with a stable routine, time to bond with her, and experience in helping dogs overcome nervous behaviors. Ideally, her new home would offer her: Plenty of room to move and play freely. Patience, understanding, and experience with dogs who need time to feel secure. Consistent training to help her grow into a calm and confident companion. Though it’s hard to part with her, we believe this change will allow Leefa to truly thrive with a person or family who has the time, space, and love to give her the life she deserves.
