When looking for a breeder for my FB1 Goldendoodle, I want someone who truly cares about the health and well-being of their dogs. It’s important that both parent dogs are thoroughly tested for any genetic or hereditary conditions, like hip dysplasia or eye issues, to ensure that the puppies are healthy. I’m also looking for a breeder who follows ethical practices, meaning they prioritize the dogs over profit. Breeding should be done responsibly, and I want to avoid anyone who overbreeds or keeps their dogs in poor conditions. Experience with Goldendoodles or similar breeds is a must. The breeder should understand the characteristics of both Poodles and Golden Retrievers to ensure that the puppies inherit the best traits from each. Transparency is key. I want to know the lineage of the puppies, meet or at least see the parent dogs, and be sure that the dogs are raised in a healthy, clean environment. Early socialization and proper care are crucial to me. Finally, I expect ongoing support from the breeder. They should be there to offer advice or answer any questions I might have after bringing the puppy home. Complete documentation and guidance are also non-negotiable.
