Why rehoming the pet

I am longer not able to give him the life he deserves. He needs the exercise which I’m not able to as it’s only me (female) looking after him and 2 kids along looking after the house. I’m constantly overwhelmed and overstimulated and at times I take my frustration out on him by not letting him upstairs or putting him in his room for a while. I feel like it’s selfish keeping him in this environment when he deserves much better .
