A week ago, beautiful stray bully mix wondered up to my house. On Thursday I took him for neutering and shots for the safety of the dog and others. I am just unable to keep him. I wish I could but he is a big dog weighing more than 70 and is too much for me. He jumps and tries to sit on my lap. I also cannot keep him contained and he is jumping over the fence. I also live in a rental property that will not let me keep him. He is getting in the street, chasing neighbors cats and has chewed up a part of their deck. He is not a mean dog, just mischievous and young. He wants to roam and greet everyone. This morning he jumped the fence and scared a dog walker nearly to death. I have brought him in as much as I can but he is not happy and whines to go. He is a big dog but has the sweetest temperament. He obviously belonged to someone who taught him to sit. He eats good, loves to ride and loads up perfectly. He also thinks he is still a puppy and a lap dog. I am 61 years old and not in the best of health. I am worried he is going to get hit by a car, a neighbor will shoot him out of fear, or that animal control will get him and destroy him. He is a beautiful solid red dog and a kid would love to have him. He needs to play and have fun. He is really a great dog and anyone would be lucky to have him. I call him Tyson after Iron Mike because he is a big solid chunk of a dog with big paws.
