About Rufus

Rufus is my one-year-old purebred English Springer Spaniel, and he’s truly exceptional. Smartest dog I’ve ever known, Rufus combines an impressive intelligence with a sweet, kind, and loving nature, endearing him to everyone he meets. He’s trained to do things that often leave people questioning if he’s more than just a dog – from retrieving drinks out of a cooler and opening the lid himself, to hopping on the treadmill alongside me because he doesn’t like me walking alone. Rufus can open and close doors, fetch his toys, and even put them away when he’s finished. He’s so polite, he wipes his feet before coming into the house. Rufus is looking for a special mate, and I’m hoping for that perfect match to bring us a little “carbon copy” of him! Agile and fast, he loves catching frisbees and shows off his aerial skills with twists and stretches mid-air. His gentle heart shines with children, seniors, and anyone with kindness. He rarely barks, only alerting us when there’s someone new around, like the mailman, and even then, he’s calm and well-mannered. Rufus is truly a remarkable, loving companion, and I’m excited to find him the perfect partner.
